FAST: Feasibility and Acceptability of Scalable Tests

Join our study to explore remote blood sample collection and cognitive assessment. The study plans to assess attitudes to dementia risk screening using digital and blood tests.

If you choose to participate:

  • A researcher will contact you to discuss the study and address your questions.
  • The researcher will arrange an appointment with you which will take place at Lynfield Mount Hospital.
  • You will have two blood sample collections (up to 30ml), at the beginning of the study and at a 12 month follow-up.
  • You will take a computer-based memory test three times: at the start, 6 months, and 12 months.
  • You will be asked to complete a study questionnaire.

Participant eligibility:

  • You are 50 and above, and also:
  • You are cognitively healthy, or
  • You have been diagnosed with dementia or Mild Cognitive Impairment by your GP or at a memory clinic.
